The Record, In Full

How No Filter America verifies, documents, corrects, and publishes public-interest investigations.

Our Standard

No Filter America is an independent investigative publication. Our reporting is grounded in verifiable evidence — court filings, official records, government documents, and direct source material. We distinguish clearly between factual reporting and editorial commentary. When we state a fact, it is sourced. When we offer analysis, we say so. We do not sensationalize. We do not fabricate. We follow the evidence where it leads, and we publish what the record supports.

Policies & Standards

Editorial Standards

No Filter America is an independent investigative publication. Our reporting is grounded in verifiable evidence — court filings, official records, government documents, and direct source material. We distinguish clearly between factual reporting and editorial commentary. When we state a fact, it is sourced. When we offer analysis, we say so. We do not sensationalize. We do not fabricate. We follow the evidence where it leads, and we publish what the record supports.

Fact-Checking Policy

Before any claim is published, it is verified against primary source material. Our preferred sources are federal and state court filings, Department of Justice press releases, law enforcement records, legislative documents, agency records, and official public repositories. Where a claim cannot be independently verified through at least one primary source, it is not published as fact. We do not rely on social media posts, unverified screenshots, or secondhand accounts as standalone evidence.

Corrections Policy

When we get something wrong, we say so — plainly and promptly. Corrections are noted directly within the affected article with a clear disclosure of what was changed and why. We do not silently alter significant factual errors. Minor typographical fixes may be made without notation. Any correction that affects the substance of a story will be disclosed at the top of that story with a date stamp. We believe accountability applies to us as much as it applies to anyone we cover.

Source Verification Standards

No Filter America accepts the following as primary sources: federal and state court filings, sworn affidavits, DOJ and agency press releases, law enforcement reports, legislative records, official government databases, public records obtained through FOIA or court repositories, and on-record statements from named individuals. Secondary sources — news outlets, academic publications, and verified reporting from established organizations — may be cited to corroborate primary source material but are not used as standalone evidence for factual claims.

Anonymous Source Policy

No Filter America uses anonymous sources rarely and only when the information cannot be obtained through any on-record source, the information is material to the public interest, and the information has been independently corroborated through at least one additional source or document. When an anonymous source is used, we disclose that the source requested anonymity and describe their general relationship to the subject matter. We do not grant anonymity to sources making unverified accusations against private individuals.

AI Disclosure

No Filter America uses artificial intelligence tools to assist with drafting, research organization, summarization, and editing. AI does not determine what is published. Every investigation published under the NFA name is reviewed, edited, and approved by a human editor. All factual claims in published work are supported by cited, verifiable source material — not by AI-generated conclusions. AI is a production tool. The editorial judgment is ours.

Document Authentication

When we cite a document, we obtain it from the most authoritative available source — federal and state court systems, government agency websites, official public record repositories, or direct submission from named parties. We do not publish documents whose origin cannot be verified. PDFs, filings, and records are cross-referenced against official docket systems wherever possible. Documents provided by sources are authenticated against independent records before being cited as evidence in any published investigation.

Funding Transparency

No Filter America is supported in part by its official online store. Store revenue helps fund the cost of research, production, and publication. No purchase, donation, or any other form of support grants any influence over editorial decisions. What we investigate, what we publish, and how we report it are determined entirely by the evidence — not by who funds us. We disclose this clearly and without exception.

Ethics Policy

No Filter America is committed to accuracy above speed, fairness above convenience, and transparency above reputation management. We do not fabricate quotes, manufacture evidence, or misrepresent the record. We do not publish allegations as facts. We give subjects of investigations the opportunity to respond when contact is reasonably possible. We correct our mistakes. We disclose our methods. We treat every person named in our reporting — regardless of their alleged conduct — as a human being entitled to an accurate account of what the record actually shows.

Legal Disclaimer

No Filter America's investigative reporting frequently covers allegations documented in court filings, law enforcement records, and official government documents. The publication of such allegations does not constitute a finding of guilt. All persons referenced in NFA reporting are presumed innocent unless and until they have been convicted in a court of law. Where individuals have pleaded guilty or been sentenced, that status is reported accurately and sourced directly. Nothing published by No Filter America constitutes legal advice. Readers with legal questions specific to their circumstances should consult a qualified attorney. NFA reporting is produced as commentary and analysis protected under the First Amendment of the United States Constitution.

The Standard

The Standard No Filter America
Holds Itself To

Very few independent publications — and fewer still in the investigative space — commit to a written, public standard of editorial conduct. We do, because we believe the people we serve deserve to know exactly how we work.

Every story we publish is built on a document, a filing, a record, or a named source. Every quote we print came from a real person or a real document. Every correction we make is disclosed. Every source we cite can be found.

We are not a rumor mill. We are not a platform for unverified accusations. We are not in the business of making people look bad for sport. We are in the business of telling the truth about documented events — clearly, completely, and without apology.

That is the No Filter America standard. We hold ourselves to it every time we publish.
